Mildred Blaxter Fellows

Since 2010, the Foundation has funded nine individuals through its Mildred Blaxter postdoctoral fellowship scheme, which provides a year’s funding for recent recipients of doctorates in the sociology of health and illness. Further fellowships are funded most years, allowing promising early-career scholars in this area the opportunity to build on their doctoral research, publish journal papers and monographs, and prepare applications for major medical and social science funding schemes.
